The Month of May all rolled up into one
Oh! The month of May was truly full of flowers. The wild flowers start to be seen everywhere my favorite is the black-eyed Suzann. We had a lot go on this month. Donovan had his once a year awards ceremony for swimming. The presentation's were nice but the food was terrible. I was so thinking I could have done a better job. But it was held at the Daytona 500 club which is in the middle of the race track. It was pretty cool to drive into and through a deep tunnel to get to the center without driving onto the track. And to see the pit people working on cars was pretty neat too! Donovan then turned his focus onto scouting and was able to fund raise his camp money through selling tickets for a spaghetti dinner. Camp isn't until July but he will not have to worry about the money anymore. He then later in the month helped out with a car wash to raise money for the other guys in his troop. He is doing a good job as senior patrol leader.
Shauna this month tried out for a summer play and made one of the main roles of Rapunzel. She is nervous and scared yet excited and anxious with anticipation on will I be able to do it? But as her parents we have full faith and know that she can.
It is the last full month of school for the kids and it is hard to believe that my littlest one is growing up and will be moving on to 1st grade. Where does the time go? She is doing so well and despite her feelings of missing out on things going on at home she is growing and learning so much at school. Her teacher Ms. Velez will be missed she is so organized and on top of things. We went on a field trip to the Zoo and had so much fun! They had a animal show and Audrey got to pet a snake and a baby alligator.
That is the list of the exciting things this month! So I will throw in some pictures of the kids just because they are my pride and joy!
